Intangible Cultural Heritage——Lion Dance
Awakening Lion, originating from the traditional lion dance in southern China, is a folk art form that integrates elements of martial arts, dance, music,
and more. It is not only an important cultural heritage of China but was also included in the first batch of the national intangible cultural heritage list in 2006 (listing number: IL-5)
The Awakening Lion has a unique performance style and characteristics, with three roles in its performance: the lion head, the lion tail, and the performers.
The lion head is decorated with opera masks, vivid and majestic in appearance; the lion tail, through flexible techniques and rhythmic movements,
works in harmony with the lion head, showcasing the lion’s agility and grandeur. The performers display superb martial arts and dance skills,
bringing out the unique charm of the Awakening Lion to the fullest, accompanied by traditional Chinese instruments like gongs and drums.
'Wherever there are Chinese people, there is the Awakening Lion.' In addition to China, the Awakening Lion has also been inherited and developed in
other Asian countries and regions, becoming a cultural brand with international influence
Sunrimoon will continue to focus on and promote the inheritance and development of the Awakening Lion culture,
allowing this ancient art form to shine even more brilliantly in the new era
